Join GeoBetty Tours for one of the best hikes in Franklin Mountains State Park. We’ll hike in the Tom Mays Unit of the park to the West Cottonwood Spring area and maybe a bit beyond. It’s the time when the first flowers of the year appear along with more green leaves as the weather warms.
We’ll take a moderate to strenuous 3-4 mile route with over 500 feet of elevation gain. Along the way we’ll talk about the plants and animals of the area and throw in some El Paso history as well.
The hike is suitable for those as young as eight years of age if they’re ready for a bit of adventure.
Cost: Adults $25, 8-17 years of age, $15.
Reservations: Advance reservations required. Call 915-526-1091 to reserve your space.
