GeoBetty Tours can take you on some amazing adventures in the Great Southwest.  From an easy two hour hike or mountain bike ride to an multi-day epic adventure, we have it all.  You can join us on a scheduled event or we’ll set something up just for you and your troop.  Here’s where we go:

FMSP Hike 1

Franklin Mountains State Park.  The Franklin Mountains run through the center of El Paso, Texas. Encompassing thirty seven square miles (nearly 27,000 acres), it’s billed as the largest urban park in the country.  Don’t let the word “urban” fool you – much of the terrain seems very remote and the trails range from easy to extremely advanced.

Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument.  The Organ Mountains form a breathtaking backdrop to city of Las Cruces, New Mexico.  The area was designated a national monument in 2014.  GeoBetty Tours offers an excursion on a fun introductory mountain bike ride on the Sierra Vista Trail as well as the chance to ride more challenging singletrack from New Mexico into Franklin Mountains State Park.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park.  Just a two hour drive from El Paso, Guadalupe Mountains National Park is a hikers paradise.  The mountains are part of the Permian Reef and showcase many geologic wonders.  Easy strolls are possible plus the chance to hike to the highest point in Texas, Guadalupe Peak at 8,751 feet (2,667 meters) above sea level.  Autumn is a favorite time to visit when changing colors accentuate the beauty.

Lincoln National Forest – Guadalupe District.  Adjacent to Guadalupe Mountains National Park and located in southern New Mexico, this section of the Lincoln National Forest is both remote and beautiful. GeoBetty Tours offers excursions here as part of challenging multi-day and adventures.
